From flat-pack boxes to a finished office in one visit. This job was a basement office in London, Ontario with three IKEA MICKE desks, three add-on units and a drawer unit.
What we assembled
- 3x MICKE desks
- 3x MICKE add-on units (high)
- 1x MICKE drawer unit/drop file storage
The result
The desks are lined up under the window, each with its own hutch for shelves and cable-friendly storage. The drawer unit on casters sits at the end for files. The room went from a pile of boxes to a finished multi-person workspace.

Large IKEA orders have a lot of small parts and repeated steps, which is where DIY assembly eats a weekend. We handle the sorting, assembly, leveling and placement, and we clear the packaging when we’re done.
